Meet The Mascots

Meet The Mascots

Our mascot friends will be travelling Australia visiting many amazing early learning services to share and celebrate the many ways educators are including Aboriginal perspectives in their program. To be selected for the mascot program you must be a member of the Koori Curriculum Club.

What do you need to do?

If you are selected to have one of the mascots visit your centre you must do the following:

  • Post pictures of environments and aspects of your program that embed Aboriginal perspectives in the Koori Curriculum Club Facebook Group and your mascot.
  • Use the #mascots hashtag on your posts into the Koori Curriculum Club Facebook Group.

Note: If you choose to include pictures of children in these posts please ensure you have permission.

Along for the journey with our mascot is their very own scrapbook. Please involve children in documenting the mascots stay here. At the conclusion of the project we should have a really comprehensive journal showcasing the many ways early childhood educators are privileging Aboriginal perspectives in their pedagogy and practice.

Our mascot will be with you for a total of two weeks. You will then need to return them to the Koori Curriculum by post. Our address is PO Box 9057 Wyoming 2250 NSW.

Thanks again for getting involved!!!
