Koori Curriculum Coaching

There is no universal approach to Aboriginal programs in Education. Each team and educator enters this space having had unique relationships, experiences and opportunities which shape their confidence and capacity to connect with community and develop respectful programs with Aboriginal perspectives embedded.

Koori Curriculum Coaching is tailored mentoring for individual educators or teams wanting specific support to overcome challenges or guidance in delving deeper into Aboriginal programs.

Educators Who Can Benefit from Coaching with the Koori Curriculum:

• Have already taken personal accountability and responsibility to source information, e.g. they have engaged in professional learning.
• Are able to commit to and prioritise Aboriginal programs for a period of time to gain momentum and lay foundations.
  
• Are open to feedback, unlearning and relearning. They acknowledge that not all conversations will be comfortable and not all roads are easy to travel down.

What Can Be Covered in a KC Coaching Session?

• Reconciliation Action Plan development. Mentoring sessions can be used to create a Reconciliation Action Plan from scratch and/or discuss specific actions.
• Reconciliation Action Plan working group participation. It is recommended that RAP working groups have Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander representation on them. Koori Curriculum mentoring sessions can be used to have the Koori Curriculum guide and support your RAP working group.
  
• The creation of a "Community Connections List".
  
• Supporting relationships and connections between educators and their local Aboriginal community.
  
• Support in the development of cultural learning plans for children.
  
• Curriculum support and development.
  

Coaching sessions are delivered virtually and sold in packages that can be individually booked in as required. However, we do suggest that if sessions are intended to be used for RAP working groups that you pre book and lock in dates ASAP to ensure availability.

Pricing:

Daytime - booking between 9am-5pm weekdays:

5 x 1 Hour Individual Sessions: $825 Inc GST
5 x 1 Hour Group Sessions: $1,650 Inc GST

Evening - booking between 6pm-8pm weekdays:

5 x 1 Hour Individual Sessions: $990 Inc GST
5 x 1 Hour Group Sessions: $1,980 Inc GST

Q: How long is each KC Coaching session?

A: Each KC Coaching is a 1-hour session held virtually.

Q: How many sessions are included in the KC Coaching price?

A: The price includes 5 1-hour virtual coaching sessions with Jessica Staines, Director of Koori Curriculum.

Q: How do I book in my sessions after I purchase?

A: After you purchase your ticket you will be sent an email and an SMS to book in your sessions with the Koori Curriculum Team.

Q: What happens if I am running late on the date and time for my scheduled session?

A: Please contact us at info@kooricurriculum.com and one of our team will respond as quickly as they can to support you.

Q: I can no longer attend the KC Coaching session I have booked; can I reschedule?

A: We understand that availability can change, we ask that you provide us with 48 hours’ notice for a cancellation. Your session will be rebooked at the next available option.

Q: Can I change the session times I have purchased?

A: Please reach out to us at info@kooricurriculum.com and one of our team will respond within 1 business day. A fee may be charged for changing dates.

Q: Is there a payment plan?

A: Yes, via AfterPay. Choose AfterPay at checkout for more details.

Q: Why do you need my mobile phone number when purchasing KC Coaching?

A: This is to ensure that we can contact you about all the information you will need to attend your KC Coaching sessions. We will not be using your mobile phone number for marketing, only for important information.

Q: Is there a group rate?

A: Yes. We offer a group rate depending on the time you book for your KC Coaching sessions.

Q: Do you offer refunds on the KC Coaching sessions?

A: Access is sold on a strictly no-refund basis. In the event that the KC Coaching sessions are cancelled, we will book you in to the next available session and provide you with as much notice as possible. The right is reserved to vary advertised schedules to add, withdraw or substitute sessions where necessary.

Q: Are the KC Coaching sessions live and do I need to attend on a certain day or time, or will recordings be available?

A: Yes, the KC Coaching sessions are live and you will be required to attend on your scheduled days and times. Each session is recorded, and you will be given access to this recording after the session.

Q: I am a member of the Koori Curriculum Club, should I purchase access to KC Coaching?

A: As part of your KC Club membership, you have the option to apply for a 30-minute live mentoring with Jessica, if you want this to be a private session or to include your team then we recommend you purchase one of the KC Coaching sessions.

Q: I have purchased access to the KC Coaching sessions on behalf of someone on my team, how do I update their email address for communications?
