Between April 2nd and April 13th is Nature Play Week, and we want to see all the ways you are fostering a connection to Country at your place.
We are inviting early childhood educators, family day care educators, primary school teachers and librarians to demonstrate how you are getting out of the classroom and embedding Aboriginal perspectives through nature play.
This could be through outdoor experiences exploring Country, bush tucker menus, inviting Elders or members in Community to share their knowledge of Country, championing your children to be custodians of the land, renewable practises at your centre or by bringing the outdoors inside.
The top 10 play experiences with the highest votes will go in the draw to win one of three deadly prizes:
- A $200 voucher to spend at the Koori Curriculum store
- A $100 Country resource pack
- A $50 Country resource pack
How to enter:
- Write a blurb of up to 300 words or more outlining how you are fostering a connection to Country at your place.
- Include an image of your experience.
The competition will be open from the 10th of March to the 13th of April for entries.
Voting will close on the 20th of April.
The winner will be announced on the 21st of April via our newsletter, Facebook and on our Instagram.
