"Cunning Crow" By Gregg Dreise
Remember – beauty comes from within…
Way back, before once-upon-a-time, there was the Dreamtime, when all the birds were white. One of those white birds was a crow called Waan.
One day, a big storm swept through the sky and left behind a magnificent rainbow. When the birds passed through the rainbow, their feathers took on its beautiful colours—vivid and dazzling.
Waan flew through the rainbow too, and his feathers turned red and orange. But Waan was not satisfied. He became jealous of the other birds and their unique beauty. Determined to be the most colourful bird of all, Waan hatched a cunning plan...
But things did not go the way Waan had hoped.
Cunning Crow is a powerful morality tale about jealousy, self-worth, and learning to appreciate one’s own unique beauty. With bold, expressive illustrations and storytelling rooted in Dreamtime tradition, Gregg Dreise delivers another impactful and vibrant picture book that celebrates culture and character.
