Kirli Saunders (OAM) is a proud Gunai woman and award-winning author whose writing spans poetry, picture books, plays and novels. Her celebrated works include Bindi, Kindred, Returning, Our Dreaming and Afloat, with more titles on the way, including her poetry collection Eclipse and debut novel Yarraman.
Kirli’s writing is grounded in Country, culture and language, often exploring identity, connection and care for the environment. Her stories have been recognised by major literary awards and are loved by readers of all ages.
