Our latest Koori Curriculum adventures have seen us out and about visiting centres around Sydney. In the last week we delivered workshops on Embedding Aboriginal Perspectives in Early Childhood Curriculums at Uniting Caringbah, Kids Academy Regentville and Goodstart Huntley Street in Alexandria.

Each of the early learning centres that we visited prided itself on displaying respectful acknowledgements of country in their service. Each of these acknowledgements were a symbol of the many ways that the educators and children show their respect to the traditional custodians of the land on which they are based, namely the Dharawal, Gadigal and Darug people.

This last week we have been completely inspired by the early learning spaces that we've encountered. The educators have been creating culturally safe and inclusive learning centres that embed Aboriginal perspectives in a respectful way.

Thank you for having the Koori Curriculum at your services. We've had some deadly yarns and been reinspired about the importance of creating culturally inclusive play spaces in early learning services.
