"Our Bugs: A Celebration of Australian Wildlife" By Bronwyn Bancroft
Our Bugs is a lyrical and visually captivating celebration of Australian insects, from the creative mind of Bundjalung artist and author Bronwyn Bancroft. This beautiful board book introduces young readers to 20 unique Australian bugs—each illustrated in vibrant detail and accompanied by poetic text that highlights their beauty and role in the environment.
With its bold colours and striking patterns, Our Bugs captures the magic of tiny creatures like butterflies, beetles, and dragonflies. It is both a joyful introduction to Australia’s wildlife and a showcase of First Nations storytelling through art.
Perfect for toddlers and preschoolers, this board book is also a rich resource for early childhood educators wanting to embed Aboriginal perspectives in learning.
A companion to Our Birds, Our Bugs reinforces themes of connection to Country, biodiversity, and wonder for the natural world.
