Many early childhood educators are hesitant to begin including Indigenous perspectives in their program out of fear of getting it wrong. Complicating the matter further, there is an abundance of conflicting advise and views within the early childhood profession when it comes to Aboriginal perspectives. Navigating the spectrum of voices and views can be confusing and overwhelming for educators and most wish there was a simple way of ascertaining the do’s and the don’ts.
Do you want to know what is and isn’t ok in regards to the inclusion of Aboriginal perspectives in your curriculum?

The Koori Curriculum has developed a short course for early childhood educators sharing their perspectives on commonly asked questions. This offering covers topics such as the use of dreaming stories, the playing of the didgeridoo, how to find an Elder and much more.

Choose between:

Individual Access Only: $20

Group Access (for up to 5 users): $95

Testimonials:

"I recently took part in Jessica Staines '30 tips for 30 days' and 'Top questions answered online' courses. Both of these have been tremendously valuable to me as a non-Indigenous person wanting to reflect Indigenous culture in early childhood programs. There is a lot of confusing information out there but Jessica's courses helped me to see things directly from an Indigenous perspective and supported my efforts to embed culturally appropriate practices. I would highly recommend these courses!"

"Living in the Central West of NSW on beautiful Wiradjuri country can sometimes present issues with accessing high quality professional development. Jessica Staines from the Kooricurriculum has developed and provided amazing, down to earth, inclusive opportunities online. Using these resources, I have developed my understandings of how to embed aboriginal culture into the everyday practice of
our centre with the team of educators. Individual, small group or even whole team training can be organised. The opportunities provided by Jess have also enabled me to participate in an online yarning circle to discover and share ideas of inclusive and progressive practice alongside other early childhood educators from around Australia. This really has been a new way of learning and sharing for me but has been the key to opening many doors!"
