Explore Aboriginal history, science and technology with this illustrated set of research cards featuring 20 bush tucker foods with research prompts.
This set of 20 research cards encourages students to deploy enquiry skills to investigate the traditional diet of Aboriginal people; the factors impacting the availability of food; and the innovation and design of specific tools used to collect and prepare food.
Multiple sets can be combined to play matching games, reinforcing identification and knowledge about the tools.

Designed and produced by Wingaru Education, a 100% Aboriginal-owned education specialist.
From Miss Hailey Birchers Early Learning Beaconsfield:
"The Kinders were so excited when our Bush Tucker cards arrived from Koori Curriculum.
After looking at them, they were asked what they would like to do with the cards and immediately the group wanted to draw, write and paint them’.
Using sharpies to draw and write the names of the foods from the cards each Kinder chose, they then used watercolours to paint.
We included their creations into our Bush Tucker book and are now on the search for Bush Tucker ingredients that we can use in actual cooking/baking."
