Leanne White is an Australian author and illustrator whose work celebrates the beauty and diversity of Australian wildlife. Growing up in the coastal town of Albany, Leanne spent her childhood exploring the bush and beach, fostering a deep love for nature. This passion blossomed further during her time in the far north of Western Australia, where vibrant wildlife became her artistic inspiration.
With over 15 years of commercial art experience and 25 years as a teacher, Leanne has written and illustrated numerous children’s picture books. Through her art, she highlights the importance of co-existing with Australia’s unique wildlife, advocating for their conservation in an ever-changing world. Leanne's books aim to spark curiosity and imagination in young readers, encouraging them to appreciate and protect the natural world.
Leanne now resides in Albany with her family, including two galahs, two dogs, and twenty chooks, continuing to inspire the next generation through her creative storytelling and illustrations.
