About Debra O'Halloran
Debra is a mother of four and grandmother of three boys to date. She also have an extended family with her husband’s four children and seven grandchildren. She has lived around the Cecil Plains area, in Queensland for close on 35 years. For the past 11 years her work has been as Office Administrator for a Shopping Centre.
Becoming an author of children’s books has been a surreal experience. It all began from her interest in photography and having a creative mind she wanted to create fairy tale images in Photoshop. She advertised for some young models to dress up and become the fairies to place into the fairytale scenes. But, Debra was not happy to just have the images, she liked to add short descriptive stories to the scene too. Her daughter’s suggestion led me to create her first book, The Fairies Secret Path. She had no idea that this would lead her to create further books and expanding to illustration.
