About Helen Milroy
Helen Milroy is a descendant of the Palyku people from the Pilbara region of Western Australia. Born and educated in Perth, Helen has always had a deep passion for health and wellbeing, particularly in relation to children. She studied medicine at the University of Western Australia and is currently a professor at UWA, as well as a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist. Helen also serves as a Board Member for Beyond Blue and made history as the AFL’s first Indigenous Commissioner. With a strong commitment to improving mental health outcomes and promoting cultural representation, Helen continues to make a significant impact in both the medical and sporting fields.
