"Sun and Moon" By Ella Bancroft & Bronwyn Bancroft
Sun and Moon is a heartwarming picture book about two siblings, Buhwi Bira (Sun) and Baribun (Moon). Buhwi Bira is a warrior—strong, bold, and focused. Baribun is a dreamer—gentle, creative, and intuitive. Though their personalities seem opposite, their bond is unbreakable.
Told with lyrical prose by Ella Noah Bancroft and brought to life through the luminous illustrations of Bronwyn Bancroft, Sun and Moon explores themes of cooperation, harmony, and the complementary forces that shape our world.
This story encourages children to embrace different ways of being and celebrates the strength in family relationships, particularly between siblings. With First Nations perspectives at its heart, the book speaks to universal truths about balance, love, and the beauty found in difference.
Perfect for ages 3+, Sun and Moon is both a touching story and a vibrant artistic experience.
