The Glen for Women is a 21-bed Aboriginal community-controlled drug and alcohol residential rehabilitation program located on the Central Coast. We are currently at full capacity, accommodating women (mostly mothers) from all over the country.
As discussed, here are some suggestions for supporting our women during the Christmas season, including ways to help them provide gifts for their children. Please note that we can only accept brand new items.
For Children (Ages 6 months - 16 years, male and female):
New toys (please keep in original packaging)
Books (donations of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children's books would be greatly appreciated)
Art and craft supplies
STEM kits
Puzzles
Building or construction sets
Outdoor exploration kits
New socks, underwear, and other basic clothing items
Donations of Christmas wrap and cards would be greatly appreciated
For Our Ladies:
Books
Pampering items
Calendars, planners, and journals
Packaged sweets and other treats
Art and craft supplies
Bags and purses
Donation Drop Off Details:
Donations will need to be pre-arranged with Natalie from The Glen by calling 0467 520 555.
Drop off locations are in Wyong Creek or Kariong.
