32 Piece 8 Australian Flora Puzzle

32 pieces - approx. 4 x 4 cm per piece ($1.23/unit)

3yrs +

Another addition to our Australian themed puzzles, these sweet colour-coded 4 piece puzzles feature 8 native plants and their name.  Australia is home to over 24,000 species of plants, most of which are unique to our continent.  The trees, bushes and wildflowers we have selected are some of our most well known and you may even have more than one in your backyard.

This puzzle comes in its own organza drawstring bag.

This is an all Australian Made And Owned product using sustainable timber.

Every piece of wood used is slightly different in colour, texture and grain. The naturally occurring imperfections seen in the timber (e.g knots, colour changes, etc) cannot be removed. These pieces of timber are cut on an engraver and will have slight burnt marks on the edges on some sides

"Yesterday we used the native plant puzzle from The Koori Curriculum. Today on the way home from school we started looking for the plants that were depicted. We found a gorgeous red flowering gum that will end up having gum nuts on it (we will return and check), and a fantastically tall grass tree. Unfortunately no banksias yet but we did spot some lorikeets feasting on the newly flowered bottlebrush. Tomorrow we will continue our search and see if we can find any of the others.

Further extension today: one of our parents gave us some banksias and a grevillea. The banksias are at various stages so children were able to see the changes as well as explore the different textures.
We also spotted some jacarandas on our walk (these are depicted in the puzzle), we noted they weren’t in flower but there were seed pods (“They look like mouths”), we collected a few fallen ones to further explore"
